Researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS)

Dr. Dorothée Laurenti is a researcher at the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) and a team leader in the field of heterogeneous catalysis. She earned her Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Aix-Marseille III University in 1999, where she conducted research on the synthesis and application of a tetradentate phosphine ligand for palladium-catalyzed reactions. She subsequently completed postdoctoral research positions at the University of York's Green Chemistry Group (2000–2001) and at LCOMS, CPE Lyon (2001–2002). Since joining CNRS in 2002, she has developed an extensive research career focused on heterogeneous catalysis, hydrotreating processes, and biomass valorization.

Currently, she works within the CATREN (Heterogeneous Catalysis for Energy Transition) research group, where her research focuses on biomass hydroconversion, lignin liquefaction, upgrading of bio-oils, microalgal oil processing, and the development of catalysts for hydrodeoxygenation, hydrodesulfurization, and hydrodenitrogenation processes, contributing to the advancement of sustainable technologies for the energy transition.
